About Us
We are Hector and Alba, an engineer and a creative, joining forces to create our Aldea.
A space where technology meets traditional handcrafts.
We both come from small villages surrounded by nature, each at opposite ends of the world. Burgos in Spain for Alba and Martinique in the French Caribbean for Hector. The environment and culture are very different, but they share the calmness characteristic of villages, where during the day you can only hear the sound of crickets, and at night you see the sky full of stars.
The project arises as a form of expression based on the sensations that certain places evoke in us, seeking to connect with those who love nature and all its forms, appreciating its imperfections.
We print organic objects inspired by traditional techniques and shapes, using the latest 3D technologies, creating special everyday items that last over time with the least possible impact.
Each of our pieces is crafted one by one in our workshop using PLA, a plant-based material derived from corn starch.
Carefully selecting suppliers for both printing and packaging, using materials that are 100% biodegradable and environmentally friendly.
In the video, you can see our vases placed in escriño baskets, handwoven by Alba’s grandfather. This special bond represents who we are: a continuation of his artisanal legacy, reimagined through the possibilities of 3D printing.
